Background Check/ Fingerprinting

NO BACKGROUND CHECKS:  Background checks will not be available at the ESC on May 3, 2023.

NOTE:  There are occasions when we are unable to run background checks.  While rare, it does happen from time-to-time.  We recommend calling ahead to be sure background checks can be conducted on the day you plan to have it done.

School Employees & Volunteers

The Preble County Educational Service Center offers background check services for Preble County school employees and volunteers.

Background Check Fees for School Districts are:

  • BCI Check $32.00
  • FBI Check $37.00
  • Both BCI & FBI $64.00

Agencies

Background checks are also offered to agencies that are contracted with the Preble County ESC. Please note that we cannot offer background checks for anyone outside of our contracted agencies. Agencies must provide the FBI & BCI codes for the employee receiving the background check.

Background check fees for agencies will use the rate listed in their contract.

Please bring a government-issued picture identification. We accept credit cards or exact cash.

This service is performed between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
