State Eases Requirements for Substitute Teachers

Under new regulations passed by the Ohio legislature, a Bachelor's degree is no longer a requirement for the remainder of this school year ONLY. Qualified applicants MUST have a minimum of a high school diploma and be at least 21 years of age, unless they are enrolled in an accredited university education preparation program. In addition, applicants must be of good moral standing and pass both a federal (FBI) and state (BCI) background check at the applicant's expense.
